Straiton is centrally located between the River Girvan and River Doon valleys.  Nearby towns and villages include:  Kirkmichael, Dailly, Crosshill, Maybole, Girvan, Minishant, Alloway, Ayr, Kirkoswald, Patna, Dalmellington and Glentrool.  Straiton is well located for reaching local attractions such as Culzean Castle, Blairquhan Castle, Burns Cottage, Loch Doon, Galloway Forest, Glentrool (7stanes mountain biking), Golf courses (such as Turnberry, Royal Troon and Prestwick).  We are also a short journey from Glasgow Prestwick Airport.

 

Straiton can be found by travelling South on the A77 from Ayr. Once by the village of Minishant turn left at Hogg's Corner and follow the signposts to Straiton.  You will pass through Kirkmichael, make sure and take the right fork.  Once in Straiton, turn left, opposite The Black Bull Hotel, and The Old Garden Cottage is immediately on your left as you go down the hill.
